Dreadout, Game Hantu Buatan Anak Bandung

 

Dreadout adalah sebuah game ber-genre survival horror yang tengah dikembangkan oleh studio Digital Happiness yang beralamat di daerah Cigadung, Kota Bandung.

Bila nanti rampung, pemain bakal merasakan pengalaman bermain game horor dengan setting yang sangat Indonesia.

Permainan ini menempatkan pemain sebagai Linda, siswi SMA anggota klub fotografi yang bepergian bersama teman-teman satu klub untuk mendatangi sebuah kota yang sudah lama ditinggalkan.

Di sana, keanehan pun terjadi seperti satu persatu temannya menghilang tanpa jejak, menyisakan Linda seorang diri. Linda ternyata memiliki kemampuan paranormal untuk melihat penampakan makhluk halus melalui media kamera yang dipegangnya.

"Plotnya memang terdengar klise, tapi kami menyiapkan beberapa twist pada ceritanya," ujar Pendiri Digital Happiness, Rachmad Imron, saat ditemui di Bandung, Jumat (8/6).

Secara sepintas, permainan ini memang menggabungkan beberapa elemen dari game survival horror yang sudah ada di pasaran, seperti Silent Hill dengan setting kota yang ditinggalkan maupun Fatal Frame dengan penggunaan kamera sebagai alat untuk melihat hantu.

Dari grafis memang tidak bisa dibandingkan dua judul sebelumnya yang digarap oleh studio besar seperti Konami maupun Tecmo, Dreadout menggunakan engine grafis Unity 3D dan masih terlihat berkotak-kotak.

Namun, konten yang cukup menjanjikan adalah isi gamenya. Tokoh protagonis digambarkan dengan pelajar SMA menggunakan baju putih abu-abu dan berlarian di gedung tua bergaya Belanda yang masih bisa ditemukan di beberapa tempat di Indonesia, cukup membuat suasana mencekam saat dimainkan.

Yang lebih khusus lagi adalah hantu-hantu yang ditampilkan sepanjang permainan. Terdapat pocongkk yang baru terlihat bila kita membidik dengan kamera.

Menurut Imron, contoh game yang sedang diperagakan adalah menunjukkan gameplay-nya, sehingga hantu-hantu tersebut belum bisa diapa-apakan.

"Kami sudah menyiapkan beberapa jenis hantu dari Indonesia untuk ditampilkan dalam permainan ini," kata Imron.

Digital Happiness adalah satu dari 18 perusahaan rintisan atau startup yang menjadi peserta inkubasi Telkom di Bandung Digital Valley. Di sana, mereka bakal mendapatkan pendampingan teknis maupun manajerial selama enam bulan agar produknya lebih siap dijual.

Imron mengatakan, Dreadout direncanakan rampung enam bulan ke depan. Selain versi PC, pihaknya juga menyiapkan versi mobile dengan gameplay yang berbeda.
